Read the latest school food blogs, including from Irene Carroll, Former Chair of LACA as she talks about healthy school lunches and the build up to the week.
As I write this blog there are just two months before National School Meals Week 2010 takes places.
It is great to see there are already 48 authorities signed up for the event and another 22 schools. This gives us half the number of last year so we have some way to go. If you have not done so already please register your intention to take part so we can show it is as big if not better than last year.
We had a great day at Chewton Glen filming the two videos for the Get Supporting Day. Arnold is also discussing linking the videos we shot with Change 4 Life and organising a competition about either cooking or five-a-day so watch out for more information soon. Final details will be sent to nearly 500,000 people so you may well find there is greater support from schools and teachers.
The arrangements for the launch in the London Borough of Havering are well under way and we are hoping for senior political support. So as soon as the politicians are back from the summer recess we hope to hear more.
We are still looking for a couple of schools that want to link up with local hotels as part of Tuesday's Get Supporting Day. If you are interested please contact arnold@avfmarketing.co.uk.
